lyrabon: ponyrines forever

the main purpose of this picture was to practice my colouring skills

ah yes, this is yet another awesome piece of concept art for my "my little pony - fable" crossover series, my little fable ^^

it is lyra and bon bon. they represent the white balverines from fable 2. i even tried to make the background like the howling halls from fable 2 lol XD

normaly i would write a story to go witht he characters, but i figured it was not necessary, since these 2 were not to have a "hero origin story" in my series. they were only to make 1 appearance in the story.

several years after rainbow dash was possessed by jack of rainbows, lyra and bon bon were exploring the heavily-expanded forests surrounding ponyville, when they were attacked by a ponyrine (a ponyrine is a pony infected with a werewolf-type virus, and has the same characteristics as one. based of of the balverines from the fable series) during a full moon.

lyra and bon bon became infected with he ponyrine virus, and because they were infected under a full moon, they became alpha mares, leaders of packs of ponyrines, although there were no others around to lead.

both lyra and bon bon evolved differently:

lyra became stronger. much stronger. she developed huge amounts of muscles on her body, and became much larger in size. because of this, she is the less agile of the 2, and is a bit slow in attacking, relying on trickery to lure victims in.

bon bon became much more fuzzyer and a ton more fluffier. though she is nowhere near as strong as lyra, she makes up for this with a staggering amount of agility and speed. she is the weaker one of the two, and often relies on lyra for many needs of her's, to which lyra is more than happy to help out.

both lyra and bon bon live in the howling halls (same name as the place in fable 2, since it does fit it the most) in the everfree forests, which have expanded greatly and rapidly over the years (they cover a huge chunk of equestria now). they both can alter their appearance to look like their old selves, and trick any passing travelers into following them into the halls, where they kill them and feast upon them for food.
