Train surfing in an Art Deco Hyrule

i drew some legend of zelda art! It's Link train surfing on a Lokomo Spirit Tracks train car over Castle Town. not gonna lie, i kinda like how i did hyrule castle. it looks pretty cool c: this was a huge lesson in extreme perspective and drawing humans. i feel like i've learned some stuff from this, and have grown as an artist.

the train thing was inspired by Spirit Tracks, and the castle itself (and the lighting colour) was inspired by Twilight Princess. i did link up in something inspired by the usual vintage / dieselpunk themes i have in my art nowadays (with the belt placement inspired by Breath of the Wild, which i still need to play).

now excuse me while i say some stuff: 

this thing has been super stressful to make. originally link's face was all kinds of horribleness, but i managed to fix it to be.... not AS bad there's a reason why i want to figure out an alternate art style for drawing humans. the train was also a huge pain, as the perspective is rather extreme. that itself is not a problem; i have plugins and brush constraints to help with that. no, the issue is that the train has extreme perspective and is on a CURVED TRACK. that curve makes is SO difficult to get the perspective going properly AND have the composition of the art not get slaughtered. though in retrospect, i probably should have had the track circle around hyrule castle instead of going off the side. but oh well

the final reason this was stressful to make was because of the time limit. see, i'm selling art at Kelowna Fan Xpo, as i do every year, and i wanted to do some zelda art to sell there. while the convention is on saturday the 25th, the time limit to make prints for it was today, the 22nd. HOOOOOH boy does a hard time limit really push you to do stuff fast, and BOY does it add to your stress when something goes wrong

but it's over. it's all OVER. i'm done, i got all my prints being printed. everything is gonna be okay. i really hope the print costs aren't too much this time
